Once Upon a Now is a family storytelling app. A child talks with Santa, chooses characters, and helps make an illustrated, spoken storybook.
How it works
Santa uses Google's Gemini AI to understand what the child says, help plan the story, draw new things, and speak. Books are saved on the owner's Mac and kept on a separate shelf for each browser or device. A book can be downloaded or sent to a connected YouTube channel as a video after an automated suitability check.
Who can use it?
The story app at santastory.xyz is currently for invited families. Cloudflare asks visitors to sign in with an approved email address. This information site is public so people can learn how the app uses data before signing in.
Before using the television
A story sent to YouTube may eventually be visible beyond the family. Please check the story first and leave out real names, addresses, schools, phone numbers, and other personal details.
